Rules General Rules
  • All projects must be created during the event timeframe.

  • Teams may consist of 1–4 participants.

  • Participants are allowed and encouraged to use AI-assisted tools, including Google Gemini, Google AI Studio, and Google Antigravity.

  • Teams may use existing libraries, frameworks, and APIs, but core project work and ideation should happen during the Prompt-a-Thon.

  • Projects must align with the event theme of social impact and positive community benefit.

  • Any form of plagiarism, cheating, or intentionally misleading judges is prohibited.

  • Participants must be respectful to organizers, judges, sponsors, and other teams throughout the event.

Submission Rules
  • All submissions must be submitted through Devpost before the deadline.

  • Teams must provide a working demo, prototype, mockup, or proof of concept.

  • A Github repository with a README is required.

  • Judges may ask teams to explain their prompting workflow and demonstrate how Gemini or other Google AI tools were used during development.

AI Usage
  • AI-generated code, designs, and content are permitted.

  • Participants should disclose major AI tools used in their submission.

  • Projects should demonstrate thoughtful and meaningful use of AI rather than relying entirely on generated output without modification or understanding.

Code of Conduct

Commit the Change is dedicated to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and harassment-free experience for everyone regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, religion, or technical background.

Participants are expected to:

  • be respectful and considerate toward others

  • communicate professionally

  • avoid discriminatory or harmful behavior

  • collaborate in good faith

Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event.

If any participant experiences or witnesses unacceptable behavior, please contact an organizer immediately.
